Calzados Cruan

CRUAN was founded in 1973 on the personal initiative of its owner Antonio Fernández Martínez-Losa, and since then the company has been exclusively dedicated to the manufacture of vulcanised rubber men’s training shoes.

It soon increased its production, so in 1982 two new companies emerged: CRUAN, S.A., dedicated to the production of vulcanised products, and Calzados FER-GAR, S.A. which also produces vulcanised shoes but mainly footwear for children (especially sports shoes).

Later on, with the introduction of injection machines, the two companies considerably increased their production and turnover, and this led to the creation of a new company - Calzados MAFER, S.L. – which manufactures new models and also markets imported footwear.

At present, the total production of the three companies is around 10,000 pairs per day, with a workforce of 70 employees. One of the group’s key features is that it only markets and sells its articles through wholesalers.

After consolidating themselves in the domestic market, the three companies are looking to the export market, which is expanding.

At present, CRUAN, S.A. is one of the few Spanish factories that manufactures mountain walking boots with injection systems. Its range of products – as can be seen in its catalogues – is very wide and covers everything from children’s to adults’ sports and leisure footwear to leather shoes and boots.

Its new 8,000-square-metre production facility is highly competitive, both in terms of technology and production.
